JACKI Emerson won Cotswold Edge Golf Club’s Mercia Castle Cup qualifier this week, a county stableford competition held at individual clubs during the month of August.
The overall Cup winner is the lady who has the highest score returned from all competing clubs.
Jacki scored 38 points well ahead of the remaining field, earning herself a one-shot handicap cut in the process. Michelle Craker came second on countback from Heather Morgan both with 33 points.
The Men’s NGFL team took full advantage of playing at home to win with a clean sweep against visiting Tewkesbury Park 6-0, which lifted them to second place in Division Two.
The ‘B’ Team were less fortunate in the reverse fixture, losing 5-1. The Seniors friendly team suffered their first home defeat of the season losing 4.5-2.5 to The Bristol on the day.
