West of England Premier League Prem 2 Glos/Wilts
Hatherley and Reddings 209-9 beat Thornbury 118 ao by 91 runs
THORNBURY ended their West of England Premier League Prem 2 Glos/Wilts division season in mid-table but lost to bottom side Hatherley and Reddings.
Hatherley were reduced to 36-3 and 52-4 at one stage and then Thornbury had the home side on the rack as they took three wickets for one run to put them on 111-7.
But then Hatherley’s tailenders wagged. Ollie Perks hit 40 and number ten Robert Dent hit 32 not out as they frustrated Thornbury to reach 209-9 in their fifty overs.
Vishal Mamgai took 3-36, while Luke Davis and Danny Slade both took two wickets.
But, in reply, Dan Davis and Josh Slade both went quickly for ducks and, after a small recovery from James Tunnicliffe (18) and captain Luke Davis (19), Thornbury started to lose wickets again.
They reached 57-7 when Danny Slade went for seven, but Ed Webb stuck around to make 34 and take Thornbury over the one hundred mark. However, his partners struggled and they finished on 118 all out in 34.1 overs.
