YATE lost their opening Stroud and District League division one clash of the season.

They entertained Forest Green A but it was the visitors who left with six points thanks in part to Dave Harvey who scored a maximum

Meanwhile, newly promoted Nailsworth Phoenix D struggled against an experienced Thornbury B team in the second division but Sam McIvor was man of the match for the home team scoring a maximum and keeping the score respectable at 4-6.

In division three, Thornbury C had a comfortable 9-1 victory over the visiting Nailsworth Phoenix F with Stephen Biles and Tracy Dibble going unbeaten.

Paul Stewart, Joe Collins and Harry Hogan were all unbeaten as Cam B inflicted a division four whitewash on the visiting Nailsworth C.

Cam C beat the visiting Nailsworth Phoenix first team 7-3 thanks to a maximum from Bev Browning for the hosts.

Brian Cullis was unbeaten and helped Frampton D to a 6-4 win against the visiting Forest Green D.

Nailsworth Phoenix H entertained the visiting Thornbury D and thanks to a maximum for Alan Fisher for the visitors they left with a 6-4 victory
