REIGNING Stroud and District League division one champions Thornbury A beat Forest Green A by a 6-4 score line. Dave Reeves was man of the match for Thornbury winning all his singles.
And the spoils were shared at five all between Woodchester B and Frampton A, with Bob Murray winning his three singles for the visiting Frampton team.
Liwu Wei scored a maximum to help his side, Phoenix B, to a 6-4 win at Frampton B.
Meanwhile, in division two, Cam and Dursley A lost 6-4 at the hands of the visiting Woodchester C. Roger Davis completed a fine hat-trick for the visitors.
Mark Attwood scored a maximum for Thornbury B as his side drew 5-5 with the visiting Forest Green B.
And a fine maximum from Dave Metcalfe ensured Frampton C beat the visiting Phoenix D 6-4. It looks as if the division is going to be very tight this season with all matches going close.
In division three, Phoenix E played host to Thornbury C, the visitors leaving with a 6-4 win thanks in part to Graham Eden who scored a maximum.
In division four, Sasha Curzon completed a maximum which helped Phoenix G to an 8-2 victory over the visiting Cam and Dursley C team.
Thornbury D were whitewashed by the visiting Cam and Dursley B with George Thomas, Tony Averis and Harry Hogan all going unbeaten.
Experience told as the visiting Frampton D beat Phoenix I 9-1, with Len Agg and Pete Seville scoring maximums against the Phoenix youngsters who were all making their league debuts.
