FROMESIDE Gymnastics Club in Winterbourne has been congratulating its boys who competed and gained medals for the South West team in the National Club Grade Finals in Birmingham Last weekend.

All eight of the Fromeside gymnasts who competed gave impressive performances. Four of the boys brought home medals for the South West team and two of the boys, William Schmitz and James Puddy, have been selected to attend the National Camp at Lilleshall in December.

William Schmitz competed in Level One coming eighth all around with teammate Seb Aquilina coming 28th All Around. Seb did receive a perfect 10 on the Vault. Competing in Level Two, George Collins-Beckett achieved 18th all around, and also helped bring home a bronze medal for the South West team.

In Level Three, Euan Courtney came 20th all around while, in Level Four, fellow gymnast Thomas Payne came 24th all around.

Meanwhile, in Level Five, gymnast Ekraj Ingale helped win a team silver for the South West while coming 14th all around.

Adding to the South West’s success, Brad Lewis and James Puddy both competing at Level Six, brought home team silver medals.

Brad successfully achieved eleventh all around, while team-mate James Puddy came first all around and was named National Club Champion.

As a result of the boys performances, the South West also won the prized Currier Trophy.
