THORNBURY A lost for the third week in a row, this time going down 18-6 to Vivo.
Captain Brad Jenkins was the only winner on the night in a tough 3-2 battle, Sam Davidson was pipped 3-2 but the rest of the team losing out.
Despite the loss the A’s are still second in the league at the midway point of the season.
Thornbury B delivered the goods on the night with an emphatic 18-4 win over Westbury David B.
Debutant Alex Hall, at number five, easily won his match 3-0.
Rob Livingstone was too strong for his opponent taking the match 3-1 with Dale Curtis (number four) on extinguishing his opponent with a strong 3-0 win.
In-form captain Justin Edwards, at number three, made short work of his usually tricky opponent with a 3-0 win.
The last match of night saw Chris Hutchence (number one) losing 3-2 but he was licking his wounds after the match as he had the opportunity to seal the deal with a 3-1 win.
Thornbury C team lost out by three matches to two against Lansdown.
A decent result against an overall stronger team, both Viv Bailey-Gard and Mick Dixon playing above their level to achieve a win against their higher ranked opponents but alas the rest of the team only managed to pick up a couple of points. The final result was 16-8 to Lansdown.
