FOREST Green Rovers will face the winners of Southern Group C in the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy following Friday night’s draw.
Mark Cooper’s side, who finished runners-up to Swansea City U21s in the group stages, have been drawn against either West Ham United U21s or Swindon Town.
West Ham currently top the group with an away trip to Wycombe Wanderers still to be played on Tuesday, November 28.
Anything but a defeat in normal time to the League Two side at Adams Park will see the Hammers top the group, which will result in a home fixture with the Premier League’s youth team at The New Lawn with West Ham asking not to play at their Olympic Stadium home in the knock-out stages.
Should Wycombe win in normal time then Rovers will face a trip to David Flitcroft’s Swindon Town side.
Dates for the fixture and tickets details will be announced via the club website as and when they become available.
