THE FINAL two qualifying medal competitions at Cotswold Edge Golf club were well supported and some good under par scores returned in trying conditions. All competitions from now until March will be played from the winter tees.
Geoff Gillingham and Ben Dagger both won their respective divisions with a nett 68 in the Men’s Medal in some very wet conditions.
Results: Division 1: Geoff Gillingham nett 68, Dave Edwards 69 & John Leighton 69; Division 2: Ben Dagger 68, Pete Reynolds 70 & Rich Beale 71; Division 3: Robin Oakley 73, Keith Williams 74 & Jon Scott 74.
The weather was kinder for the Seniors November Medal – Division 1: Willie Cruickshank nett 72, Nick Wright 74 & Graham Bartlett 74; Division 2: Brian Hall 74, John Stuart 75 & Dick Coward 75.
The ladies took part in a Fairways, Greens, Putting competition where you score or lose points for landing on the fairway, the green in regulation and putting. Anne Crawley took the honours on count back from Elaine Wheeler both with 35 points followed by Janet Duberley 34.
