Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two
Dursley Town 1 Broadwell Amateurs Res 2
ADRIFT at the foot of the table as they are, Dursley Town could do without the kind of ill fortune that befell them on Saturday as the Broadwell second-string somehow escaped with all three points.
While Town could have no complaints about falling behind to a fine solo goal from veteran attacker Steve Belfitt midway through the first half, their performance thereafter went unrewarded.
Harrison Reeves equalised early in the second period, but the Broadwell goalkeeper had an inspired match otherwise, repeatedly denying front man James Mackie.
And just to rub salt into the wounds, the visitors broke away in the closing minutes and, with Town appealing for an offside flag, Michael Etheridge bagged the winner.
