Wotton-under-Edge Ladies 2nd XI 1 Yate III 2
A good game played with an unlucky loss, final score 1-2 to local rivals Yate IIIs.
When the whistle blew Wotton sprang into action, fighting hard to get into Yate’s D, which led to a few shots at the Yate keeper.
As the game progressed lots of short corners were won during the first half. Unfortunately, Yate stole the ball and took a chance with a 3 on 2 and scored due to a rebound shot.
Wotton were having none of Yate’s games and attacked the Yate D again, this time returning to their half with a goal under our belt, won by Corrine Gibson.
During the second half, Yate equalised, but Wotton were unable to pull back despite a great overall performance.
