THORNBURY A were pipped to the post in a thrilling match vs Redland A.

Both sides matched each other and provided some outstanding squash. Callum Davidson dispatched the Redland captain in style winning 3-0, Sam Davidson also battled hard to win his match 3-1, in the deciding match Celine Walser put up a great fight but eventually lost 11-9 in the 5th, match score 9-13.

Thornbury B extended their lead to 26 points at the top of division one with a 19-2 win over Chew Valley and have won the division and promotion to Premier C with a match to go.

There were impressive 3-0 wins for Alex Hall, Rob Livingstone and Mark Toseland. Things were a little trickier for captain Justin Edwards but he kept his composure and came away with a 3-1 win. Hard hitter Chris Hutchence also delivered a 3-1 win. The last game of the season is away to Westbury David Lloyd B.

Thornbury C suffered a heavy defeat away at Bristol university.

The uni boys proved too strong winning all games with only Mark Dalziel coming close with a narrow 3-2 loss. With one game to go in he league the Cs look safe in division 2.

Thornbury D lost out 4 matches to 1 in an evenly fought battle away vs Redwood. James Jenkins took an impressive 3-2 win and Pete Bowen missed out to the same scoreline.
