STRUGGLING Dursley Town have re-appointed Phil Miles as first-team manager following the resignation of previous incumbent Peter ‘Buster’ Davies over the New Year period.
Davies stood down following the 1-0 home defeat to Woolaston on Satuday, which was a seventh defeat in the goalkeeper’s eight-game reign as player-manager.
Town won just one game – 2-0 at home to Bredon in November – under his stewardship, but subsequently surrendered those points after failing to raise a team to play Welland last month.
Dursley have now turned back to Miles, who began the season in charge, with second-from-bottom Lydney Reserves the opposition this Saturday, although there are 12 points between the sides.
