CAM Bulldogs have closed the gap on Chalford to one point in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League division one.

And, despite a draw at home to Leonard Stanley on Saturday, it means that fourth-placed Cam are in the hunt to finish in the top three of the division with six games of the season left.

They are four points behind second-placed Charlton Rovers as well and, while Cam are in Gloucestershire FA Senior County Cup action on Saturday, when they play Moreton Rangers at Everlands, Rovers and Chalford meet each other in Cheltenham.

Cam drew 3-3 with 10th placed Leonard Stanley last Saturday for their third draw of the campaign and stand on 42 points, with Chalford on 43 and Charlton Rovers on 46. Leaders FC Barometrics have fifty points.

Meanwhile, Berkeley Town managed a sixth win of the campaign when they took the scalp of Brockworth Albion at Station Road.

The match was goal-less at half-time but Berkeley grabbed the three points in the second period thanks to goals from Richard Reece and Ryan Stevenson.

And Sharpness did themselves a power of good as they beat basement side Stroud Harriers at Whitminster Playing Fields by 2-1 thanks to goals from Daniel Turner and sub Jack Higgs.
