RATINGS OUT OF 10

Brad Collins 8

Boss Mark Cooper thinks Brad Collins will return to Chelsea a better keeper and on this performance he is right. His cat-like reflexes to thwart Kristian Dennis kept Forest Green in front at a crucial time.

Lee Collins 7

Dependable as ever and managed to get forward from right-back.

Farrend Rawson 7

Another solid display and made some vital blocks and got forward well.

Haydn Holls 6

A busy afternoon for the Rovers defender as Chesterfield got off to a brisk start.

Scott Laird 7

Great strike for Rovers’ opening goal and generally a competent display.

Isaiah Osbourne 6

Quiet game, but his value this season has been immense.

Chris Clements 6

The Grimsby Town loanee sparkled against Cheltenham. One of the best passers of the ball in League Two, but was less effective today.

Gavin Gunning 6

'Mad Gav' has quickly become a cult hero with the fans. Strutted his stuff in midfield and was always looking to lead from the front.

Reece Brown 6

Failed to reach the heights of his outstanding cameo against Cheltenham Town, but tried his best to get on the ball and make Rovers tick.

Christian Doidge 8

His calm finish in the second-half saw Rovers regain the lead and his stoppage-time penalty made it 24 goals for the season and 50 in two seasons.

Rovers will want to keep hold of their star striker, but any potential suitors will have to splash the cash.

Reuben Reid 6

Worked his socks off on a sun-kissed afternoon. His signing in January has brought a new dimension to Rovers’ all-round game.

Subs:

Dayle Grubb 8

Game-changing impact off the bench. His first touch of the ball allowed Doidge to score Rovers’ second goal. He then helped himself to an audacious third after a driving run and clever dink, to claim his fifth goal for Rovers since his move in January.

Alex Bray 6

His scampering run won the penalty for Rovers in stoppage-time.

Tahvon Campbell 6

Brought on near the end, his pace kept Chesterfield on their toes.
