Three successive T20 wins.

At last the season has come alive, just in time for Cheltenham.

Our Michael Klinger (pictured) led cricketers are doing us all proud. Wins over Middlesex, Kent and best of all Somerset.

Unless you heard a triumphant cheer emanating from the centre of Cirencester, the last win will have passed you by.

The rain affected game finished too late for many press deadlines.

These wins have been achieved without star player Benny Howell who has an injured groin, however Kieran Noema-Barnett has been a worthy replacement with match winning runs and wickets.

Coach Richard Dawson rightly praised his team, adding we must continue our four day form.

Wins at Cheltenham would take us away from bottom place.

A century by four day captain Chris Dent would be cheered by all.

Cheers for Thornbury Cricket Club. The pitch they produced for the second XI game against Lancashire was good beyond all expectations.

The news that Helen Taylor is leaving her post at Forest Green Rovers is sad for all of us value the match day experience at the New Lawn.

Always calm with time for everyone, and full of good ideas led an off field team the club can be proud of.

Rumour has reached me that King of the Highways, Ken Boulton is currently injured.

His company and conversation on Forest Green trips is much valued.

Ken has the sporting life of this county in his heart and has done much to support it.

I look forward to seeing Ken back on the road.

Now for Cheltenham. Sun cream or mackintosh?

Whatever the weather, or the results, I shall relish it.

See you all there.
