RICHARD PITTS represented Team GB in Denmark for the Aquathlon World Championships at Middelfart Denmark - 1km swim and 5km run - writes Andrew Oborne.

Richard had a fairly clean swim but toiled a bit on the run before getting into his stride for last couple of kilometres to overtake a few in his age group. He finished 22nd in AG - Swim 17:33 (1km), Transition 1:00, Run 21:05 (5km); Overall 39:38

u THIS WEEKEND, Tenby were holding their Long Course Weekend featuring all of the Triathlon disciplines (Swim/Bike/Run).

Shona Darley successfully completed the 66-mile bike route on Saturday (05:32) and a half marathon on the Sunday (02:18).

u TARA Truman reported from Upton on Severn, with 24 DRC Triathletes competing - 13 doing the standard distance (1500m/40k/10k) and 10 doing the sprint (750m/20k/5k).

For the men, Richard Lewis had a fantastic time of 24:38. For the ladies, Francesca Lane Amigoni and Jo Robinson were neck and neck with only a second between them 25:34/33. They were followed by Tara Truman in 26 mins.

A 25-mile (40k) bike ride followed. Tony Freer had the fastest bike split of 1:09 followed by Tara Truman in 1:15.

All the runners finished the 10k, eight of whom who were under under three hours and nine who were in the top-10 AG.

Tony Freerhad the fastest run split of 50:37, with Andrew Oborne seconds behind - 50:39.

Paul Breen (10k) posted 52:24 to Tara’s 54:38.

Luke Russell and Zoe Lamerton won their sprint age groups. Zoe was also 4th lady. Jadie Cotterell came 2nd AG.
