SLIMBRIDGE AFC have appointed Lee Driver-Dickerson as first-team manager for 2018/19.

Speaking shortly after appointing the new boss, chairman Barry Gay was full of praise for Driver-Dickerson.

He said: “I am delighted to be appointing Lee as the Swans first-team manager.

“Lee has impressed me with his commitment and enthusiasm since Freddy Ward stood down at the start of pre-season.

He has worked very hard to bring in quality players over the last few weeks.

“I cannot wait for the new season to start.

“The club’s future is looking bright with the newly formed u18 side about to kick off their first season here at Thornhill Park too. Several of those youngsters have impressed both Lee and myself”.

Slimbridge have a friendly against Hengrove Athletic on Saturday, July 21.
