Seniors Vintage Open

COTSWOLD EDGE Golf Club held their Seniors Vintage Open for players aged 70 and above.

The event was well-supported by local clubs and home members.

Some impressive under par scores were returned in the individual stableford competition.

Visitor winners: Tony Edgeworth from Cleeve Cloud GC won with 41 points, followed Mike Hall (Stockwood Vale GC) on count back from Fred Perry (Upavon GC) and Frank Tanner (Broome Manor GC) all with 40 points & Bryn Rees (The Brecon GC) 39.

Home winners: Mike Harvey 40, Theo White on count back from Bob Wills both with 38 & Dennis Goodbrand on count back from Tom Baird 37.

Pat Johnson earned herself a four-shot handicap cut when she won the Ladies Medal/Muriel Button with a nett 63 ahead of Mary Kowalczyk 67 & Dottie Chilton 70.

The Ladies Alliance One team enjoyed their visit to Cotswold Hills, winning 9-5.

The Seniors were less fortunate when they hosted Clevedon at home, suffering a 4-2 defeat.
