Thornbury win by 78 runs
NICK Willis-Stovold hit 64 as Thornbury thrashed Biddestone at The Ship Field on July 28.
A strong first-half to their innings saw Thornbury race to 146-4, with Dan Davis (15), Willis-Stovold, Marc Lezar (8) and Danny Slade (67) doing their bit.
Daniel Lezar (23) and Vishal Mamgai (38) helped to bolster the total at the middle order and tail-end as they posted 249-9.
Biddestone’s reply started well, with Dwaine Perry (70) hitting boundaries from every ball thrown at him.
After Perry eventually fell, his teammates crumbled at the crease, with James Bartlett (9), David Comport (0), Akito Jacques (1), Cameron Beath (3), Chris Baker (8), Naeem Khan (1) and Liam Boulton (1) barely making an impact.
Next game for Thornbury is against Corsham at The Ship Field on Saturday, August 4.
