JAMIE WAKEFIELD hit 61 runs as Rockhampton thrashed Trowbridge at the The Boundary Field on Saturday, July 28.
After Matt Tyler (2) departed early, Wakefield stepped up to the plate to bat away everything thrown at him.
Number three Guy Brothwood bagged a half-century and Will Tyler notched 53 to help the Rocks to a lofty total of 235.
Trowbridge’s innings got off to a poor start with two of their three opening batsmen falling without a run to their name.
The middle order picked things up through Kyle Oakley (28), Billy Cookson (37) and Harry Veal (41), but they fell short at the end.
Wakefield took five wickets while Brothwood took three.
Rockhampton next face Lechlade at the Manor Ground on Saturday, August 4.

ROCKHAMPTON seconds enjoyed a five-wicket victory over Frocester thirds at St Peter’s Fields.
Frocester started strong through Rob Austen (45), but number two Ben French (20) and number three Matthew Tuck (20) could only deliver satisfactory performances at the crease.
The middle order disappointed with totals below 30 and the late-order barely added to the run total.
Mark Beale and Chris Pearce took two wickets each.
Rockhampton’s reply saw Jeremy White (61) kick their innings off perfectly.
Rob Belbin (11) struggled, but consistent numbers from Harry Collins (27), Simon Hore (22), Sam Downes (18), Mark Beale (11) and Neil Bainbridge (10) all added up in the end.
Rockhampton next face Hawkesbury Upton at The Boundary Field on Saturday, August 4.
