Slimbridge AFC will be hosting Bristol City Development team on Thursday in a pre-season friendly.
The freshly launched under-18s side will be welcoming the Championship side's youngsters Thornhill Park with kick off at 7.30pm.
Slimbridge have formed the new youth team ahead of the new campaign which they hope will help inject more talent into the first team as the club have ambitions to gain promotion within the next five years.
The youngsters, who are managed by UEFA B License qualified coach Adam Coyle, have already had friendlies against Dave Hockaday's Bristol Academy and Yate under 18s.
Coyle's CV is impressive, boasting the likes of Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City during his coaching and scouting career so far.
The under 18s will be playing in the Midland Floodlit League and their campaign will begin next week.
