AT THE Bugatti 10k, Dursley Running Club were led home by a great run from Mike Brown, recording a personal best of 39:54, 17th overall and 8th senior male. Dave Durden was next home in 42:02, 29th overall and 4th M50.

Alice Lewis the first and only DRC woman. She looked in control at the finish, getting 94th overall and 3rd F55 in 48:56.

Dave Saunders finished in front of Neil Truelove who had fallen, with Steve Barnes finishing the DRC performance just over the hour mark.

The race left Dursley well-positioned across the age categories in the Glos AAAs Road Race Series, with Dave Durden currently 2nd MV50, Alice Lewis 1st FV60, Dave Saunders 3rd MV65, Neil Truelove 7th MV55 and Steve Barnes 10th MV60.

Standish Woodland Chase

BEN Amigoni wore the DRC vest for the first time and celebrated by leading the team home in 21st position overall, a minute ahead of Kevin Jackson, (3rd M55).

Jon Tudor ran well to come in 3rd DRC man. Jackie Creed was first DRC woman over the line and 2nd in her age category.

Others making the Age category podium were Lise Hindshaw and Nicki Cowle.

u ON SUNDAY, August 12, Paul Gebbett made the trip to the Wye Valley for the inaugural running of the Coppet Hill Fell Race.

Gebbett placed 22nd and 7th MV40

u ANDREA Sexton lined for the Bridport Jurassic Coast Fell race in strong winds and heavy rain.

She was pleased with her performance, finishing 40th overall and 2nd FV40.

u FOUR athletes took part in the inaugural Severn Bride parkrun.

Matt Hazel-Livall was the fastest of the weekend, finishing in 19:54 at Wotton.

Tara Truman was fastest DRC woman at Gloucester.

Alice Lewis posted a 82:35% Age Grade at Haga.

Andrew Obourne led the men’s age grading with 65.77% at Cirencester.

Personal/course bests were run by Lisa Giloolly (Gloucester), Dave Symonds (Kingsway) and Jackie Penning ton (Wotton).
