YATE’S Luke Hedger is gearing up for Round Eight of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park between August 17 and August 19.

The 3.5km course is a real mecca for bike fans. Cadwell Park hosts the biggest round of the Championship, boasting thousands of spectators who travel to the circuit fondly nicknamed the ‘Mini-Nurburgring’ every August.

Cadwell Park is most famous for ‘the Mountain’, where bikes frequently get airborne, and it’s the striking mix of twists, cambers and gradients that have led to the circuit’s burgeoning popularity over the years.

Things have looked up for Hedger in recent weeks, having made real progress in Round Seven at Thruxton at every stage.

Hedger was 24th in the warm-up round with a best lap time of 1:17.340.

He finished 18th in race one after starting from 24th and had a faster best lap of 1:17.152.

In race two, he finished 19th and was faster again with 1:16.981.

Cadwell Park will provide a different challenge, but Hedger will be confident as he comes into the race with some momentum.
