WYCLIFFE Prep School pupil Sebastian Forrest has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Laser Run World Championships.

The 11-year-old will be heading to Dublin for the event which takes place on Saturday, September 29.

Laser run is the final element of a full Modern Pentathlon.

Sebastian competed at the European Triathle Championsips in Germany last month where he finished seventh and was part of the Team GB's under 13 team Gold Medal triumph.

Triathle is a feeder event for Modern Pentathlon and consists of a continuous shoot/open water swim/run.

Last year, Sebastian competed at the Biathle World Championships in Viverio, Spain in September as well as last year's Laser Run World Championships in South Africa where he also had the honour of being the GB Flag bearer in the opening ceremony.

Sebastian trains in swimming, running and shooting with Severnside Tritons, Stroud Athletics Club and Cotswold Pentathlon respectively. He is also a member of Leweston Pentathlon Academy in Sherborne.
