In the Bristol and District Senior Division, St Nicholas Old Boys got off to a flying start. Beating Cribbs 4-2 at the Ridings playing fields on Saturday.

The result took them to the joint top of the table alongside Nicholas Wanderers who beat Bristol Barcelona 6-0 in their first game of the season.

St Nick’s went on a fine run of form at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Rangeworthy, in Division One of the Bristol and District League also got their campaign off to a good start as they beat Soundwell Victoria 3-0 away from home in their first game.

The result also took them to the joint top of their league table, whilst they are also level on goal difference with Frys Club A.

In Division Two of the District League, Chipping Sodbury Town are yet to start their campaign, however Tormarton got off to a good start with a 2-0 win against Sea Mills.

Iron Acton Reserves lost 6-2 at home to Lawrence Rovers, as the away side romped to the top of the league table in their division.

In the first derby of the season in Division Three, Old Sodbury were well beaten at home by an experienced Brimsham side, losing 4-0.
