Women's Hockey Clifton Ladies IV 0 Thornbury Ladies 3.
THORNBURY clinically dealt with a young Clifton side who were unable to cope with the stronger game of the local side.
Visiting Thorns constructed a number of opportunities before Mel Joseph was able to dribble home the first late in the opening half.
Thornbury continued to play pleasing hockey in the second half though a tendency to pass to an opponent made things difficult.
Rachel Gardner hit the post shortly after the break and it was left to Kim Alexander to score two goals to give Thornbury a deserved victory.
