In Division Four in an exciting game at the Malthouse the Hopefuls looked to have the game safe but a first leg spare by Di Baimbridge of the Misspins threw the game wide open. It was all hands to the pumps as the Hopefuls just scrambled home.
Barclays League scored a surprise home win over the high-flying Raggedass Rangers. Even a last leg 15 spare from Matt Stinchcombe could not undo the steady work done by Barclays League including 59 without a spare from Kevin Thomas.
In Division Five the Wannabees kept the pressure on the top with an away win over the Emerald Greens, with a splendid 74 from Steve Ballard including a 17 spare, while Pete Hall and Keith Smith scored over 60 as well.
With nine wins out of the last ten games Ancient Mariners are one of the in form teams. They swept past Not A Clue with spares from Trish Cook and Steve Cooper while for the visitors Gordon Barnes had 62 with a 14 spare.
In Division Six Chaos managed a close win over the Munch Bunch. Taking an early lead thanks to a nine spare by Tony Trotman they were soon in difficulties as the Munch Bunch got into their stride but a 51 seventh leg pulled 11 pins and they just held on.
Lobitanope made it three wins out of four when they scored a win over Oceans 8 who never settled on the Sports Club alley.
