GLOUCESTERSHIRE County Cricket Club have announced the appointment of James Rufey as Cricket Centre Manager for the County Ground, Bristol.
This will help develop the coaching opportunities and programmes already offered at the Club for any age, gender or ability of cricketers and coaches across the county.
The countyy currently offers a variety of courses for Clubs and schools, as well as excellent courses for children during the school holidays and even one-to-one coaching.
The next courses are at Easter, both at the County Ground and in Cheltenham. These courses are available for eight to 14 year olds on April 7-10. There is also a course for eight to 14 year olds in Bristol only on April 14-18. For further information please contact Sandie on 0117 9108043.
Rufey has joined Gloucestershire after six years working at Gordonstoun School in Scotland as Cricket Professional, Sports Coach and Assistant Housemaster.
Over the last ten years James coached in a part time capacity at Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation under the leadership of John Barclay and over the four years has worked on the MCC Holiday Coaching Programme based at Lords.
Before joining Gordonstoun James did an HND in Sports Management and Coaching at South Bank University.
The ECB Level two coach also has a Cert Ed in Boarding School Management from Surrey University and an Open University Certificate in working with young people.
