Gas Gossip: Time to turn performances into results

Sean Rigg wants to end bad luck stories Sean Rigg wants to end bad luck stories

THE pre-season went really well and we’ve got a strong team but it hasn’t quite gone as we would have liked at the beginning of the season.

In the first home game against Carlisle we were 1-0 up and I felt we started off really well but they managed to nick two just before half-time.

Then they got a third goal and when we pulled it back to 3-2 it was too late but there were plenty of positives to take from it.

We went to Watford and played fairly well and managed to keep the ball in their half but they scored in the dying minutes so it was a shame we did not quite get the win.

But we can’t keep going by bad luck stories, we need to turn performances into wins.

At Brighton we did not have a good first half and the manager let us know that at half-time. We played better in the second half, and got it back to 1-1 which we were happy with in the end.

We’ll push on now and try to get the first win but we need to keep our heads up and keep the team spirit. If we get a few wins under our belt we’ll be flying.

We want to get into the top half and finish as strong as we can.

There’s a lot of competition for places at the moment but I’m doing well in training. I’m on the bench at the moment but I want to push for a start soon.
