RICKY ‘The Hitman’ Hatton will promote his first event in Bristol where Spaniorum Farm gym’s star boxers Danny Butler and Peter Leworthy will be on the bill.
IBO light welterweight world champion Hatton made his first venture into the promotional side of professional boxing at The Tower Balltoom, Edgbaston, on September 4 where Butler and Leworthy both impressed.
British Masters middleweight champion Butler moved up a weight to claim the Masters super-middleweight title, with a five round stoppage win over local favourite Matty Hough, and Peter "The Choir Boy" Leworthy won his first professional contest against Brummie Sid Razak.
The event was an undoubted success, not least due to the proficient help of Jane Couch MBE, and boxing 'whip' Tony Surello.
Hatton’s father, and promotional partner, Ray was so impressed with Butler and Leworthy's boxing, and the organisation from Couch and Surello, that he intends to continue working with the Spaniorum Farm Camp, with a joint promotion at The Marriott Hotel in December.
This will be a dinner show with Hatton undoubtedly capturing the audience with his entertaining and often risqué after-dinner speech.
Tickets for the Hatton promotion in December are almost certainly going to sell out quickly but priority will be given to those supporters attending the ‘Black Eye’ Promotions show on Sunday October 12 at the Broadmead Marriott Hotel.
