FOREST Green have signed midfielder Paul Lloyd until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old left Morecambe by mutual consent during the transfer window and will link up again with Rovers boss Jim Harvey.
Harvey was the Shrimpers manager when Lloyd was in the Academy there, and also tried to sign the midfielder 18 months ago, but the player agreed to sign his first full time professional contract at Morecambe as they won promotion to the Football League from the Conference.
He received an injury which prevented him from being involved in their first year and as a consequence found it difficult to secure a starting berth with the League Two side.
Feeling that his career needed a kick-start, Lloyd agreed to cancel his contract and look for a new opportunity. He trained with his new team mates today and goes straight into the squad for the visit to Stevenage Borough tomorrow.
