ALASTAIR HIGNELL, Patron of the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre, is looking for a hundred heroes to run the Stroud Half Marathon at the end of October.

Higgy’s Heroes was born at the 2008 London Marathon when a group of his friends got together to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC). Higgy’s Heroes ran again last year when Hignell’s family, including wife Jeannie and sons Adam and Dan, and some of his friends chose to run the Stroud Half Marathon for the MSRC.

Last year there were 30 Higgy’s Heroes at Stroud. This year Hignell wants a hundred.

If anyone wants to join the Heroes and raise money for a charity dedicated to making life better for those affected by this incurable and debilitating condition, please contact Alistair, Jeannie, or the MSRC.

You don’t need to be an accomplished runner, just prepared to get a bit fitter and give it a go.
