SHARPNESS made very heavy weather of beating bottom club Cheltenham Civil Service on Saturday.
In atrocious conditions Sharpness kicked with the wind in the first half and by the interval were three goals to the good. Tim Thomas, brother Bradley and Matt Frankham were the goalscorers.
Within five minutes of the second half the visitors reduced the deficit.
Playing against the wind, the Sharks found it very difficult but on a number of occasions they could not produce the killer ball and numerous chances were not taken.
Cheltenham scored again with ten minutes of the game left, but Sharpness were not to be denied and Frankham finished off the best move of the game when he rammed home number four to put the result beyond doubt.
