GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S overseas player James Franklin is set to be missing for up to a month in the early part of the county cricket season.
The all-rounder is centrally contracted by New Zealand and is expected to be away at the Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean in May.
The Black Caps are also looking to play Sri Lanka in Florida in May and are set to make a controversial tour to Zimbabwe in June.
Gloucestershire have said they will not sign a replacement overseas player while Franklin is on international duty.
