MARCIN BIALOBLOCKI will attempt to defend his crown in the Severn Bridge Road Race on Sunday.
The Somerset-based Polish star heads one of the strongest fields ever in the 65-mile race, which circuits Alveston, Olveston, and Tockington over ten laps.
Of the 80 competing in the event, which starts at Olveston Sports Club, 11am, 68 are elite riders.
Wilier racing team consists of three previous winners with Bristol-based Ben Luckwell, Swindon’s Grant Bayton and Lee Davis of Stroud all expected to be competitive once again.
Ex-international Yanto Barker is head of the Pendragon team, with head of Bristol-based Sigma Sport, Simon Richardson, also hoping to be amongst the frontrunners.
The challenge of Yate-based Felt racing team comes from Ian Legg, Matthew Kipling, Tom Smith, Peter Wager and Duncan Jamieson.
Frampton Cotterell-based rider Luke Dunbar will be competing for Qoroz racing team and Steve Thomas of Severn Beach will be representing Bristol Road Club.
