England women's captain Charlotte Edwards and Caroline Atkins to coach at Bristol Phoenix

ENGLAND’S most successful women’s cricket captain, Charlotte Edwards, will be visiting Bristol Phoenix Cricket Club on Tuesday, April 13 to hold a coaching masterclass for club members.

Accompanied by England colleague, Caroline Atkins, Edwards will be spending the day at Phoenix’s ground at The Ship, Alveston in a series of coaching activities. As well as giving vital tips to the club’s more experienced players, the England duo will supervise coaching for the club’s newest recruits as well as for local girls who are thinking of taking up the game.

Phoenix coach, Mike Collett, said: “We are very privileged that the England captain is coming to our club.

“Charlotte is a very inspirational player and I know all the girls at the club will benefit hugely from her visit. “She will devote some time to a taster session for girls new to the game and who want to give cricket a go.” For information about booking a place call 07778 195488.
