County League champions Thornbury Town announce their pre-season friendlies

THORNBURY TOWN will face Southern League side Mangotsfield United at Cossham Street in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, August 7.

Other friendlies against Downend, Hallen, Chepstow Town and Tetbury Town should test their credentials for the coming season.

Just seven weeks after securing the Surridge Gloucestershire County League title, Thornbury Town get back to preseason training on Tuesday, July 6 at the Mundy Fields.

Manager Dave Lippiatt is hoping the vast majority of his championship winning side will be re-signing and already has a couple of new signings in the pipeline as he looks to emulate last season's achievement.

The club's reserve and under-18s teams will also be returning to pre-season training on the same night.
