MIKE WHITTINGTON scored a late goal to give Almondsbury Town victory over title favourites AFC Totton in their first ever home game at Southern League level.
The substitute netted in the 88th minute to give Richard Thompson’s side their first win of the new campaign.
Totton, who missed out on the title by one point last season, failed to put away several chances, although Joe White and Dean Griffiths both went close for Almondsbury.
Almondsbury are at home to North Leigh on Saturday (3pm).
