DURSLEY produced another fine performance in adversity as co-leaders AEK Boco were given a scare before depleted Town ultimately ran out of steam.

The visitors were up against it from the off, only being able to name a bare 11, in which Gemma Butler made her first appearance following a long-term injury.

Nevertheless, it was an even start and arguably against the run of play when Jade Scammell put the home side ahead with a looping shot after 25 minutes.

Dursley deservedly equalised before the break, though, Charlotte Warren shooting home after Michelle Watson had crossed from the left following Butler’s free-kick.

Town took the lead ten minutes into the second half when the home side dithered at the back and Watson nipped in to pinch the ball and cross for Steph Hill to head in.

Boco were rattled and, five minutes later, Watson pounced on a stray pass, rounded the last defender and beat the goalkeeper with a powerful drive.

However, while the hosts had three substitutes to utilise, Dursley had no such luxury and finished the game with ten players after Lucy Johnstone succumbed to injury.

Boco scored five goals in the last 20 minutes, one-time Cam forward Leanne Burge hitting a hat-trick, while Sasha Ferris claimed the other two.

Dursley: J Turl; S Stanley, C Trinder, S Piper, L Harper; K Turl, L Johnstone, C Warren, S Hill; G Butler, M Watson.

Goals: Warren (35), Hill (55), Watson (60).
