DURSLEY scored three goals in the final 20 minutes to come from behind to win at Brockworth and secure a place in the last eight of the County Cup.

Town took an early lead when Martin Booth lifted the ball over the goalkeeper from Karl Nash’s astute pass, but the home side soon equalised from a free-kick. Aaron Nash had a goal disallowed almost immediately, but he then converted a penalty to put the visitors back in front after Callum Dummelow had been fouled.

Brockworth equalised for a second time on the half-hour and took the lead from the penalty spot just before the break after Steve Hobbs was penalised for handball. With Dursley still trailing with 20 minutes remaining, assistant boss Chris Dolbear, taking charge for the day, introduced Curtis Mills and Matt Humphrey.

It proved to be an inspired move as, within two minutes, Mills fired an equaliser with a well-struck shot across the goalkeeper. Humphrey put Town in front ten minutes from time when his free-kick took a big deflection off the wall to wrong-foot the Brockworth goalkeeper.

Booth finally put the game to bed late on when he beat two players before slotting home his second goal.
