FOREST Green chairman Dale Vince believes the future is green under new boss Ady Pennock.

Vince will be glad to see the back of 2013 after parting company with former boss and close friend David Hockaday in October.

Vince said: “Every time I see the team play under this manager we play better.

“Incrementally we're getting tighter and more consistent and I'm full of hope for 2014.

“Previously we would go ahead in games and just fall apart, but you don't see that any more.

Rovers are nine points off the top five following the postponement of the match at Aldershot Town on New Year’s Day, but Vince insists Rovers can still hit the play-offs.

“I think the play-offs are still within reach and a lot of people think so. Mathematically it is easily a possibility.

“The season is barely halfway done and we're not too many points behind, so we've just got to keep winning games.”

Vince will sanction any new signings in the January Transfer Window, but says changes are already underway.

“ I see the team changing with every game that Ady gets under his belt and the more time he has to coach them and shows them how he wants to play.

“Ady is making changes already and the process is underway with regards to tweaking the squad.”
