FOREST Green boss Ady Pennock will hand January transfer window duo Lee Hughes and Jerome Binnom-Williams their debuts in front of the BT Sport cameras at home to Hereford United tonight, 7.30pm.

Club Spokesman Stuart Brennan confirmed the match will take place despite the recent deluge of rain, which forced Rovers to postpone their clash against Salisbury City last Saturday.

And Rovers will be champing at the bit as they kick a ball in anger for the first time since December 28, with Rovers hosting the same opponents and looking to avenge the 1-0 defeat at Edgar Street.

Fans will be keen to watch the former £5 million striker Hughes, who has moved to the New Lawn on an 18-month deal from Port Vale.

Pennock is looking forward to seeing his marquee signing in action.

Pennock said: “His attitude and application in training has been first class and he has already had a great effect on rest of the lads the changing room.”

Rovers have struggled for goals and Hughes’ natural goalscoring ability is something Pennock insists will benefit his goal- shy side.

He added: “Lee is a natural goalscorer, which is what we have been lacking in our last few games when we’ve created lots of chances.”

Full-back Jared Hodgkiss remains sidelined with a shin problem, so Ed Asafu –Adjaye is expected to move to his favoured right-back spot with Crystal Palace Loanee Binnom-Williams taking the left-back berth.

Jamie Turley (groin) and Yan Klukowski (thigh) have trained this week but are expected to be consigned to the bench.

Kieron Forbes is out with a bruised foot and former Hereford loanee Paul Green completes a three-match ban.
