GFA Challenge Trophy Quarter-Final

Cadbury Heath 5 Slimbridge 0

SLIMBRIDGE crashed out of the GFA Challenge Trophy with a comprehensive thumping at the hands of Cadbury Heath.

In atrocious conditions, the Swans were hampered from the kick-off by the delayed arrival of keeper Dave Evans, who got held up on the way to the ground.

As a consequence, Jamie Martin started in goal, and by the time Evans was on the pitch ten minutes in, the Swans were already a goal down - Matt Huxley, whose superb individual display earned him four goals and a man of the match award, converted a through ball to put the home side ahead.

On 36 minutes, Huxley added his second, heading home a cross following a Heath free kick to double the advantage.

Huxley then completed a first half hat-trick just before the break, heading home a cross from George Boon.

The second half didn't get any better for the Swans as the conditions worsened. Boon was again instrumental in the build-up play, this time crossing for Sasha Tong to convert on 74 minutes.

To complete a miserable evening for Slimbridge, Huxley popped up again on 78 minutes to notch his fourth of the game, and seal the win.

Heath go on to host Winterbourne United in the semi-final.
