A well-executed fast taken free hit from Dani Bennett gave Victoria Murray-Davey the opportunity to give wotton a 2-0 advantage at half-time.

Avonmouth came back fighting in the second half.

Despite goalkeeper Jane Hardwick continuing her fine form with a string of incredible saves, Avonmouth got a goal back.

With the bleak winter winds blowing across the New Road pitch, Wotton showed the visitors the strength of their great passing play and strong drives up the wings.

Lucy Culpepper showed Avonmouth's defence and goalkeeper no mercy, securing Wotton's win with the third.
