LAST year’s Davidstow Village Cup finalists Rockhampton will begin their 2014 campaign with a home tie against local rivals Old Down on Sunday, April 27.

The Rams went all the way to Lord’s last year, where they suffered a heartbreaking one-wicket defeat against Cumbrian side Cleator.

The winners of the first round tie will face Dumbleton at home on Sunday, May 11.

Frampton-on-Severn are also amongst 14 teams in the Gloucestershire section who will be looking to emulate Rockhampton’s feat last year and they have been handed an away draw against Apperley.

The winners of that game would face a second round trip to Marshfield or Leonard Stanley, who are the other two sides in the top half of the Gloucestershire draw.

Painswick, Redmarley, Aston Ingham, Corse and Staunton, Kingsholm, Dymock and Ebrington are in the bottom half of the Gloucestershire draw.
