KINGSWOOD Primary School have enjoyed a lot of sporting success recently.

The netball team qualified for the Level 3 School Games to be played at Cheltenham College in March.

A school spokeswoman said: "This is a fantastic achievement and everyone at Kingswood Primary School wishes the team the best of luck."

Kingswood also retained the small schools cross country title in the district series at Katharine Lady Berkeley's School.

The children attended the club every Friday after school, whatever the weather, accompanied by founder of the club Ron White, teacher Helen Gibson and several parent helpers.

The Riddiford Shield football tournament provided a great opportunity for Kingswood to show other schools their talent.

In the early round they scored seven goals in one game and overall came second out of five.

Kingswood scored five goals in the final round, winning one and drawing two matches to come fourth out of eight teams.
