TONY Powell won two on his 80th birthday as Cam C beat Frampton D 7-3 in Division Four.

Team-mates Mick James, with a maximum, and a brace for Alex Yeung completed the scoring for the home team.

Glan Watkins won two for the visitors and was joined by Chris Philp to win the doubles.

In a bottom of the table Division One clash, Frampton A beat Whiteshill A thanks in part to Steve Porter with a maximum.

Simon Ward won two singles and the home side won the doubles to seal the victory 6-4.

Whiteshill’s points came from Alan Churchill and Rupert Harris with one apiece and two for Steve Greening, including a good win against Ward.

Yate could only field two players but still managed a creditable 5-5 draw against Woodchester B.

Andy Cox and Will Berkley won two each, plus the doubles.

Clive Ellison was the only scorer for Woodchester, winning his two singles.

Frampton B scored four valuable points in their battle for survival at the bottom of Division Two as they lost 6-4 at home to high-flying Forest Green B.

Simon Philp scored two and Dave Pearce one before Alan Perratt joined Philp to win the doubles.

Forest Green’s points came from an unbeaten John Pobjoy, Jimmy Haycraft with a couple and a singles win for John Crowther.

In Division Three, Cam B entertained Frampton C, with the visitors running out 6-4 winners thanks to an excellent maximum from Kim Selfe and a brace from Gerry Dupree.

The home side’s points came from Harry Hogan with a couple and one each for Harry Prescott and Bob Cutts.

Selfe and Dupree sealed the win by winning the doubles in three.

Cam A ran out narrow winners on their visit to Forest Green C thanks to a fine maximum from Steve Partridge and a point apiece for Brian McNeil and Paul Stewart.

The home side’s points were scored by Lucky Gallage with two, and one each for Ian Yemm and Tony Poole.

Stewart and Partridge sealed the victory by winning the doubles in three straight.
