IN DIVISION One Frampton A suffered a whitewash when they entertained Thornbury A with Harry Gwillian, Len Vowles and Ian Maggs all unbeaten in singles and doubles.

Yate entertained two-player Cirencester and won by a convincing 8-2 margin.

There were two wins apiece for Andy Cox and Will Berkley for the home side and one apiece for Charlie Jefferies and Ian Heskins for the visitors before Cox and Berkley won the doubles.

Frampton B earned two valuable points in their battle to avoid the drop from Division Two when they entertained Thornbury B.

Simon Philp and Brian Cullis were the scorers for Frampton, while the visitors' points came from Gavin Rogers and Mark Attwood with maximums and one for Simon Lewis before Rogers and Attwood won the doubles.

In Division Three, Phoenix C got the better of Frampton C thanks to a maximum for Roger Simpson, a brace for Pete Skinner and a singles win for Aaron Skinner.

The visitors' points were scored by Kim Selfe (2) and Jerry Dupree (1), who then combined to win the doubles in three.

Graham Eden and Tom Lewis both scored maximums as Thornbury C beat Phoenix D 7-3.

Tracy Dibble scored the other point for the home team, while John Catterall and Andy Hammond scored a singles each and the doubles for the Phoenix.

Cam B shaded a close derby with Cam A 6-4, thanks in part to a fine maximum from Harry Prescott.

Harry Hogan with two and Bob Cutts with one completed the scoring for the B team.

Paul Stewart (1) and Steve Partridge (2) combined to win the doubles and keep the score respectable.

Frampton D travelled to Nailsworth B and came away with a close 6-4 victory in Division Four thanks to Glan Watkins and Chris Philp with a brace each and a singles win for Pete Seville.

The home points came from Mike May with a maximum and one for Dave Watson.

Watkins and Philp sealed the victory, winning the doubles in five.
