BERKELEY Town are going for the great escape after picking up three points at Bristol Academy to close the gap to two points on Yate Town Reserves.
The home side took the lead after just two minutes when Marcus Thatcher pulled the ball back for Toby Waterman to score. Berkeley levelled on 11 minutes with a superb strike from the edge of the box by Sam Gillison.
Dave Sims-Burgess put the home side back in front on 16 minutes with a low shot into the bottom corner.
A looping shot over the home keeper from Joe Blakeney on 25 minutes levelled the score once more.
A through ball from Tom Palmer found Sam Strickland to put the visitors ahead for the first time on 51 minutes and in the 65th minute Sam Strickland crossed for Paul Brooks to make it a 4-2 win for the bottom club.
