FOREST Green have launched their new home kit, a unique design from the club in collaboration with kit supplier Puma.

The shirt, which will be available for fans to buy from July, signals a bold new look for the club.

As the club celebrates its 125th anniversary this season, the new shirt will also mark that milestone with a commemorative badge.

Forest Green chairman Dale Vince said: “This is a fabulous new look for Forest Green Rovers. Identity is especially important in football – a unique look is something few football clubs have.

This new strip has identity, it’s thoroughly unique, an imposing look and it’s certainly going to get noticed.

“Working with Puma has been fantastic for us – we’ve been able to come up with our own design, rather than buy an off-the-shelf look, and then try and make it a little different – this strip is Forest Green Rovers and no one else.

“FGR has a football pedigree spanning three centuries, it’s a special year to launch this new identity and acknowledge that tradition with the 125th anniversary badge.

"We’ll be launching the away kit in a few weeks which will also draw on our past but with something extra, a modern twist.”

New signing David Pipe modelled the shirt for the launch and says he is eager to get started in the kit for the new campaign.

Pipe said: “It’s a quality shirt, I really like it – and I’m chomping at the bit for the start of the season now.

The colours really stand out, which is what you want on the pitch, and it’s nice to honour the 125th anniversary of the club, which has a massive tradition.”

Arsenal, Newcastle and Rangers who will also be in Puma kits this year.
